Beck Arnley is usually repackaged oem stuff, you can even see where the mb logo was removed on some parts. For adequate clearance on the links, jack up the front (or rear) end...main thing is that both wheels on the same axle have to be at the same height otherwise the sway bar will have torsional tension.

Bought the Lemforder (486) links just to do it right: http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/sk...3-1766763.html
Lesson learned. Buy German branded OEM aftermarket parts. On a side note, Meyle is Legit, I do know that.

PS - Changing out Transmission mount as well. I can't seem to decipher the difference between the Auto Trans/6sp MT mount. MB Indy recommended replacing when I bought the car a year ago. Is this the proper part? The sellers say it isn't the correct one....

The trans mounts are quite similar...on my car with a 6MT the part # was 212 240 0318. Good chance the part # ending in 0418 is for an auto.
Too bad about the links, I've had pretty good luck in the past with beck arnley stuff, especially e46 parts.

Btw, here's the Lemförders vs. Beck/Arnley. Night and day, dude...
B/A didn't even have a rotating ball joint... Either they sent me the wrongs ones, or B/A is complete crap...

I used the IWIS chain and febi tensioner. The tensioner plug part # is 0009976220. As far as the guides, you can only reach 2 out of 3 without removing the timing case. I only replaced the top guide (item 26)
While you're in there, you could change the oil filter housing gasket (item 23) and the oil cooler gasket (item 35), both of which are prone to leaking...you'll have to remove the intake manifold though. Also, there is a plastic coolant pipe (item 70, part # 2712001352) coming off the oil cooler into the back of the head that gets brittle and can crack...easy fix even though it's a pricey little part.
As for the bushings and end links, I'd recommend OEM Mercedes or Lemforder (OE supplier).
Good luck...

**EDIT** Btw, since you did this yourself, what did you use to align the cams to TDC if you didn't have the $$MB Cam Alignment tool? Additionally, what did you use to break the chain as well as crimp the new master link on new chain? The MB Indy has gone radio silent and I'm about to just do the damn job with the old man. Thanks, bud.
VC Gaskets, IWIS Chain, FEBI Tensioner, Corteco Tensioner Cover, and Top Guide Rail.
