Another 'will it fit?'
What do you guys think? Has anyone tried this? I've searched the forum and google but got nothing. Thanks guys!
The problem is I know that they fit the W210, but I don't know how well it will fit inside the fender because of the AMG brakes.
Speaking of, Sunny, want to buy a V6 with 140k?
W210 E55 AMG likely came standard with
front: 18x8 ET31 235/40R18
rear: 18x9 ET35 265/35R18
But could go as aggreesive as (without body mod)
front: 18x8.5 ET25 235/40R18
rear: 18x10 ET25 265/35R18
W210 could take:
front: 17x7.5 ET37 235/45R17
rear: 17x7.5 ET37 235/45R17 (non-staggered)
rear: 17x8.5 ET30 235/45R17 (staggered)
Your CL203 rims:
front: 17x7.5 ET37 225/45R17
rear: 17x7.5 ET37 225/45R17 (non-staggered)
rear: 17x8.5 ET30 245/40R17 (staggered)
rear: 17x8.5 ET34 245/40R17 (staggered)
Thus, I don't think you'll need any spacers with ET37
Your 215/24R17 tires are a bit on the skinny side,.. maybe a bit beneficial in snow since they're winter tires.
If your rims are AMG then the AMG brakes *should* clear,... MB? Post a photo of your rims. What is the model/part number of your MB/AMG rims? Usually imprinted on hub side of rim.
It even comes with a serviced transmission and replaced TCU connector. Neat. So I'll keep these old crusty rims then.
They aren't Mercedes AMG rims, they're the coupe's original Alshain rims. So I'm somewhat concerned because I know the E55's brakes are freaking huge.
Generally, you could always go from Mercedes rim to AMG rims without issues,... but going from AMG rims to Mercedes rims,... you'll need to worry about AMG brake caliper clearance.
Best way to tell, would be a test fit,... but I really doubt it'll fit. illest is right, you'll likely need spacers to force them to fit but with these Alshain rims, you'll also have to worry about the those ridges too.
