Balance shaft failed in 2009. Replaced under warranty. Just failed again!
SubscribeYou've got to be kidding me.
2006 C230 117,000 miles
At 31,000 miles, 6 years ago, the CEL came on and I took my car to the dealership. They kept it a week replacing the balance shaft failure. I have the documentation from this.
Sure as ****, the same thing just happened today! I was right in front of the dealership (not the same one that did the original repair) when it started shaking violently and the CEL began flashing. I made a quick left and turned into their service department. They just called me and told me it was the balance shaft.
Now what? What chance do I have to get MB to fix this on their? How on earth do you replace a part with another faulty part? The entire reason I've kept this car is because I was under the impression that when they fixed it the first time it was fixed.
Sigh...
