higher mAh/Ah than 100Ah batterys for the w203?
Hi
Are there higher Ah capacity batterys that will fit into the space for 2004 c200 k.
Mine is 100 but just curious if theres a greater capacity upgrade available.
Also, which battery do you recomend buying as a replacement.....ive noticed BOSCH make and other parts for the car....ive also seen another brand......

Garaged kept right, let us know when it leaves you on the side of the road.
You have got fantastic life out of this battery but you really should change it.
Leave the head lights and blower on for 10 minutes then try to start.
Your alternator will thank you and you will probably pick up some fuel mileage.

You seem to mix sarcasm with reality, ask any battery expert just how long a battery is in its useful state.
If you got 11 years from this battery then you should contact the manufacturer for another. If batteries lasted this long the industry would be in shambles.
As I stated you have had good luck, so far. Winter is close, do you like to gamble also.

So first you blew up the original battery trying to jump start it, then you considered a Jet Ski battery and now you wonder if there are acceptable alternatives to an OEM battery. I'm seeing a trend here and it will probably end badly. Forget all the BS and get yourself an OEM battery from MB. Otherwise we can all look forward to your future posts about electrical gremlins and miscellaneous mysterious troubles.

Lgraz5, correct in your statements, we will hear more from the OP in the future, and probably Holmes also. He will be the guy stranded in front of a major traffic jam during a quick cold snap when the alternator finally burns out. Just sayin

You make me laugh. I've forgotten more about Benz tech than you've ever known. My car is well looked after. I know my exact alternator output. I load test my battery quarterly at least. Thanks for the laugh though, kid.

Remember to laugh when you realize the only thing you forgot in your extended years was to replace the 11 year old battery.
Its guys like u that make me laugh when they tell you the "car is well looked after ".

In all seriousness it's not uncommon for the original batteries to last many years but I don't doubt it's approaching the end of it's useful life. My E55 still had the original battery in it from 2002 when I bought it in 2012, I tested it, it passed at about 90% or so of it's capacity so I left it to see how long it would go. I got another year or so out of it before seeing consumer offline messages, testing it again and finally replacing it. Fwiw though my 190E racecar has a VRLA battery from 2004 in it still going strong might not be a bad idea to keep a jump box in your car till you get a new battery...and maybe after that also.
