Dismantling SeaCoupe

The beginning of the end....

I'll be turning wrenches on SeaCoupe for the first time in years. I need to swap out the headlights on SeaCoupe so they go to the guy who bought them. I have to admit, this is odd. I can barely look at 'ol girl, and I can't help but feel like she is whimpering at me.

Gotta find my tools as I haven't turned a wrench in years. Heck, I may have to hit up some local peeps if I can't find my tool box. Yes, I'm that pathetic. Owing successive BMWs on a lease where they do 100% of the maintenance has made me soft. The extra pounds I put on since being a pog (technical Marine Corp term for a *****) are the result of over eating).

TMI I know, but having been the only owner of my SeaCoupe and the 250k miles we covered has left me with many memories. Mostly good, some a reflection of growth, and the excercises in stupidity. This car saw the end of my 10 year marriage, My dating life, a new marriage. Hell, I may just take her for a spin. If SeaCoupe could only tell stories.

It's hard at first, but then you get in your next car, get used to how it drives, don't worry about a fading MFD, bad end links, a foot-operated parking brake, and it all just washes away.........

C230 will be the last one hugging his Coupe with enlarged knuckles from his arthritic hands.

I know the feeling very well, bro. Growing (or should I say aging) pains.

I'm still game for the calipers - also very interested in the rims. PM me price or if you're interested in swap for W204 dual 5-spoke 17" staggered.
