stepper motor clicking

ok guys i hate to beat a dead horse here since i know the stepper motors are common problems. I'm just curious if someone can help me out on which one or how many i need. I have no air going to the windshield and no air out of the right vent above the center console. Also i only have heat on the drivers side of the car. I also have no AC but i'm assuming it just needs to be recharged since it's never been touched. Ive had a clicking behind the dash on and off over the past 5 years. Can anyone help me pin point the problem?

Hey man, id say you start checking first the two motors right under the steering wheel. I did mine few weeks ago and it was one of them my Ac was working fine though on both driver and passenger side , it was just the stepper clicking id hear it right under the steering wheel more specific near the ignition switch.

There's a link somewhere on this forum (maybe try the DIY section) to the MB document describing the position and operation of each motor. Since you have a C32, you have 10 in total. Certain ones tend to break more often, but honestly it's a crap shoot. My car has 6 motors (C230), and I had 2 linkages and 1 motor fail.

Based on what you're saying, you probably have at least 2 dead motor/linkage combos. It may be just the linkages (MB sells a kit that beefs up the weak linkages - the weak ones fail on pretty much EVERY car), but this job is such a pain that you may want to replace the motors in question, so you don't have to rip half the dash apart again.
