Best of luck!

Your mind is right, there is some measure of elitism attached to a MB - even if it's only in the minds of others

You will have a blast, as for the Elite part I drove a billion year old BMW with 175,000 miles on it and people still thought it was expensive.

I don't know about the members, but as a drove the car off the lot for the first time (with 10 miles on the odo), it felt very strange. I was used to my wife's 30,000 mile Accord and compared to that, the MB felt like it had a ton of lead in trunk and rubber cement in the crankcase. It took me a few days to get used the tight feeling, dimensions, and visability.

Now that it has over 3000mi I find myself taking "the long way" home just so I can spend a few more minutes in "euphoria".

2002 C230K Sport Coupe
Sal,
You're going to love your coupe. It's a great little car. It took me a long time to find the right driving position (seat relative to steering wheel) and all the possible adjustments of the seat itself. So if it doesn't fit at first, keep adjusting til you find the right spot. It is a totally different driving experience from my old Honda (which I used to love to drive BTW). The c coupe has me spoiled now and I can't see driving anything else.
Enjoy that new toy! In a safe and sane manner of course.
Deb
