Oil Level Sensor replacement - C280 M272 engine

Hello,

I have a 2006 C280 4Matic with the M272 engine and I have an issue with the oil level sensor giving false alarms. It seems to happen on long trips and will give a warning message even when the oil is not low.

Has anyone replaced the oil level sensor on this engine (M272)? I'm wondering if this can be done without removing the oil pan. If anyone has the instructions and can provide them, I would appreciate it.

Thanks.

The answer is No. The bottom section of oil pan must be removed and as typical is not streight forward(see WIS docs AR0145P7555QB and AH0145P000101VA)
