Getting the Sirius Antenna wire into the car

Hello,

I have read the fourms and tried to find something that would assist me with this but no luck so far.

So long story short: the Girlfriend thought it would be a great idea to but me Sirius radio for my car. I like the service but hate extra wires and non OEM looking addons in my cars.

But I cant tell her that with out breaking her heart, so now i have to install that damn thing. https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/banghead.gif

Thanks to you guys I now have a functional AUX port connected through the glove box, but cant figure out how to get the Antenna wire into the cabin from the outside, without drilling holes or destroying the seals.

Please advise.

Okay put the antenna under the grill on the hood that has the windshield washer nozzles on them. I put mine there and never had single issues fyi and it is almost 100% invisible.
Then run the cord down the wiring/tubes and secure with zip ties.
Then the fuse box on the driver side once opened on the front has little rubber grommets that you can cut a little to get the connector through. Once in that compartment you can remove some insulation temporarily and get access to the cabin and run it to wherever you want.
Also depending on the unit she got you may be able to put it in the ash tray and still close it which makes the install really nice and clean. Also you can tap the cig lighter for switched power so you can hide the plug behind the radio or wherever.

Honestly, I would just take it to a shop, pay the $50, and have a box properly installed and wired. Some things are best left to professionals, especially when they're much cheaper than fixing something you're going to break.
