Talking

it's a good possibility that you have a loose gear

Your description is kind of vague . . . not enough detail to be much help.

My '03 C230 does get on my nerves when the damn 'smart' transmission decides that it wants to go to 3rd gear as I'm rounding a 90degree corner (like turning at an intersection). At this point, the car almost stops, drops to about 1000rpm, and has no acceleration. Finally, it figures out that I'm trying to go somewhere, it kicks down, and lurches out of the corner like a boy-racer (boy-ricer?). Not that I've been trying to go quickly, I simply want to go.

Questions: Is your car 6-spd or auto?
Better description of 'puking' would be helpful
Does the engine rev but the car goes nowhere?

i have the problem also...

my car does that coming out of the corner.
i am on the throttle but the rpm stays at around 2000 for a second or two and the car does not accelerate. actually, the rpm seems to go down as i am trying to accelerate. i don't know why it does that.

Throttle returns to idle

I had a hell of a time figuring out for a while what the questions were asking. I understand now and this is the answer and my own C320 does it and, yes it's annoying. When cornering, particularly when turning right where the turn is sharper, if you get a little bit of wheelspin, the ESP will back off on the electronic throttle for a moment until the slipping wheel slows down and then opens it again. You can demonstrate this by shutting off the ESP (dash switch) and see if that cures the "trouble."

Any time you get some wheelspin this will happen. Further, if you are a left foot braker and press the throttle before releasing the brake pedal, the engine will do the same thing. Makes it exciting trying to cross a busy street.

if you slow down by brakiing and downshifting to 2, this does not occur. eventually, the car will 'learn' this move and do it automatically.
