CD Changer Installation Problem

OK, I have carefully followed the instructions for installing a factory CD changer. It has power and is connected into the fiber optic loop on the back of the HU (Audio 30). When I go to test it, I get the message "No CD Changer" on the HU. I have read that the computer is supposed to recognise it automatically. What have I done wrong?

I have had my "No Phone" message disabled, and noticed that one of the FO Lines going into the back of the HU is labelled "phone out". Could this be the problem?

are you sure the fiber loop is complete. If it is not a complete loop and it's broken somewhere, then it won't work. I had a similar problem with my Nokia phone. It wasn't "in the loop"

Well that indeed may be the problem. The "No phone" message is removed by telling the DAS that a phone is not present. Since the loop going into the HU is labelled "phone out" there may be a disconnect that requires a trip to the dealer to reprogram.

Thanks for the suggestion.
