I bought a Bluetooth GPS receiver that came with a 12 Volt Car adapter. I think the best location for it is right behind the middle rear headrest so that it can have line of sight to the satellites.
Where is the best place to tap into 12V near that location? ( preferable in the trunk ).

Thanks

you'll have to remove some panels in the trunk to find a wire. The rear SAM module has tons of wires you can get.

I would put it under the dash for two reasons:

1. Although Bluetooth devices are supposed to work within 10 meters in direct line of sight, my experience tells me that this is a shameful exhaggeration. Sometimes my BT headset can't even handle a much shorter distance - when I put the phone on the passenger's seat, let alone under the rear hat shelf. And I'm talking about stuff made by Ericsson - one of the founders of BT technology.

2. The windshield is slanted more that the rear glass, thus giving the receiver a larger exposure to clear sky compared to the rear location.

Vadim, would the GPS work under the dash?
Then I'd put it in the glove compartment

p.s. It's tiny.

Of course it would! Jusk make sure you put it in an area not screened by metal parts - those would kill the signal.
