2002 c320 has BAS message..

Hi, I am new to this forum (and mercedes too (sorry been a bmw guy but switched recently).
So last week a message popped up saying rear licence light was out... i got out and noticed one bulb was out. Later that day, no message the light was on. Moments after starting my drive the BAS message came up. On that drive I noticed my cruise no longer worked.
I do have brake lights and turn signals so im not sure if the brake light switch is the issue (was told and saw online).... any suggestions? ABS works.

thanks for reading ....

Unfortunately, electrical issues and you. 02s tend to be either good all the time, or a series of electrical problems after a while that keeps going and going and going...

So i bought my benz a toy .... an OBD2 code reader! Ok, I bought myself a toy!
Bottom line of my scan: ... weak battery. Followed by some readings, my BAS error could be caused by the weak battery. THe only item not working is my cruise control, everything else is working normally.

So the question being...... could the battery do this? Also, should i be afraid to change the battery (as all sorts of issues may arise)?
