Leaking Sending unit. 07 C280 4MATIC 13K miles
From last 3 fill-ups, I started noticing strong fuel smell in cabin and some fuel on my driveway. Did google search and found recall on E-Class and some CL models. Pulled the seat back and sure enough there was fuel sitting in sending unit. It goes away after the tank is about at 3/4 level along with smell.
Called MB USA and they asked me to take to to local dealer and have them diagnose it before they can bless my repair.
Has anyone have this issue on their C-Class? Were you able to get MB pay for it?
I was thinking of changing the seal (PN 2034700379) but can't seem to find it anywhere. Is there a new PN?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

I don't know the part number for the tank seals but I suspect that's all you'll need. Might be worth a shot getting Benz to pay for a tank though. That would be awesome as they come loaded with fuel filter and pump.
