Front bumper

Sup guys I'm new to mbworld- a year and a half ago my mom passed down her benz to me which was my dream car at the moment. during the time my mom had

her she had messed up the front bumper of the car as seen

i was thinking of sanding the part that was sticking out to give it a clear look, any suggestions?

I would take advantage of the situation and buy a front lip; they mount over the OEM bottom of the bumper, would clean up the area nicely, and look better than what you're trying to do. And if you're really lucky, you get your mom to pay for it, as it was a pre-existing condition.

I just looked up the lips on eBay , it's more expensive then the whole front bumper it self :/

Are you concerned about the dangling pieces or the scratch on the right hand side?
I'd just carefully trim them or heat them up with a hairdryer/heat gun and bend them back to shape. It's underneath the car, believe me after a couple of months you will forget about it (and/or more pressing things will be on your mind )
The scratch - just touch it up. Nobody's gonna bend down to scrutinize your lower bumper with a magnifying glass
