our cars: what tires wear the most? F/R?

Just want others opinions. I used to have different brands of brake pads on front vs. rear and now I have the same pads front and rear so I don't know what to expect. Especially being rear wheel drive. If these cars were front wheel drive it would be a no brainer.

thoughts?

Are you talking about tires as per topic title or brake pads as per topic content?

I am driving mostly alone. Rear tires wear at least 2x as fast as fronts for me.
Brake pads: fronts changed 40k miles ago, rears still look good so far. OEM pads/rotors.

Hi, Yes I am wondering about the tires if I should have the highest tread depth on the front or rear. Pads and rotors changed 1yr ago all matching/same parts.

Depends on the driving style. I find my tires keep wearing out at the edges. The F tires wear heavily on outside and about half as much on the inside, and the R tires wear through the inner edge before the outer edge is even touched. Meanwhile, the middles of the tires look completely fine. For me, the F tires need replacing more often because those F outer edges wear completely through before anything else on the car. Really don't like the high caster angle on the W203.

My car is slightly lowered from stock, but the alignment readings are all within factory spec.

As for the pads, I find the fronts last about 70000km (worn down 2mm, ignoring the brake sensor which goes at 5mm). The rears last 100000km or so. Mind you I drive like a granny 98% of the time.
