The Oracle of ignition modules
Recently replaced one of the ignition modules (no.5) on the 2.5V6, but the parts store was out of stock on the Delphi brand that would have matched the other five on the engine.
So, just wanting to get the job done, I bought Advance Auto's Intermotor brand instead. It fixed the problem and is working fine, and was actually more expensive. But now I'm second guessing the decision.
For one thing, it looks out of place since the gel looking part is black instead of the typical tan color.
And I'm just wondering if the ECM is seeing it the same as the other brand.
Is Delphi the factory equipment?
