I like to see the condition of my engine oil so I got the stick.
But the pipe (with the red cap) is plugged. Is it supposed to be?
I have looked at old threads but no info there.
Car is a 2005 c230K

How far down? During an oil change, I run a tube all the way down until I hit the end to evac the oil...and it takes a good length to get there. Check the rubber at the end of the red cap if it is still there. It might have came off and got dislodged. Good luck.

Just a couple of inches from the top. Looks like a solid piece of steel solidly wedged in. Looks like a factory thing. Is my C230 the only one? Thinking of maybe the MB dealer can do something about it.
