W203 Sportcoupe catalytic converter, from where?
Bought a Merc about a year ago. Someone had replaced the cat said the company selling it. "Ok..."
Turns out it had been emptied, theres nothing in there AND the lanbda sensors have been programmed into a default value of some kind...
"Dat be baaaad"
Now it wont pass emission tests. Recently passed they said... Went to check who passed it, well, it was themselfs. They did the test... Like, "sure they did" but on whos car are the values from then?
"Dat be VERY baaaad!"
Anyways. I need a new cat. FAST.
Original comes with full pipes and costs rougly 2,000 € so no thx. Does anyone make a copy-part? Just the cat would be best, has welder, will travel.
OR if someone knows a proper part off ebay, links welcome. No "i think this fits" but actual certainty please.
Stuff like this lands at my door in around two weeks, meaning i have one shot at this or my car is grounded... If i cant pass the test within 3 weeks, its "de-registered" for failing and fixing that will cost about a half of what that car is worth.
Joys of being in a messed up country.
Lucky for me i did find someone who can restore the sensors back to OEM settings. Now, the cat...

Ask the C230 Sport Coup on this forum. I think he has replaced the cat and knows what works. Or search his posts, it should be there.

What year?
Google magnaflow catalytic convertors.
The California version will get the lowest emissions
but the "49 state" version costs less.
Also a company called 'Walker'.
I'm using that currently.
