Well, I am a sucker M272 Balance Shaft needs replaced.
Well, chalk another one up to the M272 Balance shaft failure. I understand that in the USA there was a Class action suit that helped out customers who were experiencing the problem. I however am in Canada. Alberta, Canada. Not enough sales up here to help my cause. Right? Has anyone ever dealt with this issue in Canada? it is a 2006 C230 with 150k KM on it. Should still be covered under the 10 year 150k Mile warranty that was handed out. Only if it was in the USA. I guess I am pretty much hooped. Would it be cheaper to just replace the engine? I diagnosed by turning the crank to 305. The serial number in the camshaft viewing windows line up perfectly on the two drivers side ones, but the two on the passenger side are off a little. Do all four line up at once? That is what I was led to believe.
