Would US comand work in uk?

do a search and you will find the answer. TO make it short, yes it will work except for the AM band which has different spacing of bands. Some AM stations may work adn other may not. Everything else will work. i think UK has TMC but teh US comand does not have that feature.

ok i have had a read so the only thing id lose would be AM freq, and its harder to use audio in, so i would get a tv tuner, other than that would there be anything else to watch out for?

US spec comands are useless in europe...european comands are pretty usefull in the US...
The FM frequency of the US comands searches per 0.2MHz where as the eurospec units search per 0.1MHz...As AM is hardly used in europe at all and almost every single radiostation broadcasts over FM - you will losse approx half of the station by using the US spec unit in the UK...US-eless
