W203 220 cdi
Opinion needed!

I have been looking for a w203 c220 for sometimes now. I have narrow it down to two.

1st is 01/2004 classic with some extra features please see the pic and VIN WDB2030081A624077

2nd is 09/2004 elegance with nothing extra see the photo and VIN WDB2030081A722105

I need your opinion which would be a better buy the price is the same for both no difference there.

Thank you for your honest opinion

12 years old vs ~12.5 years... I'd buy the one with BiXenon headlights (if they are oem).
The lights themselves are easily a $500-700 value.

One is from Italy, I've heard that those are not particularly well cared-for.

The 01/2004 one has factory BiXenon with headlamp washers. I doubt that someone had replaced them with aftermarket ones
It is pre-facelift though, so that might be a factor for you... (dash and instrument cluster are "old school")
Although it has a CD-changer.

See attached data cards.

Thats true about the well cared-for i have heard the same, but facelift looks better.
While in the other hand this second one has all these nifty features but has a bump on the front grill and some rust by the driver's door a rear arches not much but enough to spoil my desire.

I have read somewhere that from 2nd Quarter 2003 MB started galvanizing their chassis on C220, and this being 2004 and still has rust and the other one had rust too on front arches and rear... my guess is that this galvanizing process is BS.

Today a found one E220 11/2003 Classic well maintained and price is also better than other two above. I dont know if i should go for it or no?
Whats your opinion on E220 could it be better choice or i should get this rusty bucket with those features?

Thanks
