2006 C230 with 139k and 2005 C240 4matic
one brake light is always on
The bottom of the left brake light is always on despite the key is out of the ignition. It is draining the battery

You have a faulty lamp assy----clean it up, take the bulb out,replace the assy,do nothing and get pulled over!!loads of choices!!

Are you sure it is not your rear fog light. Push in on your light switch.
