2003 C230 Kompressor AC Compressor Replacement - Replace Condenser too?
I just bought a project C230 Kompressor coupe. It has one glaring defect: The AC compressor is shot. The system won't even hold a vacuum. Here's a video of it running:

I'm going to replace the Compressor, Expansion Valve and Drier, but should I replace the Condenser too? I've read that they can't be flushed properly.
I'm also going to check the alternator pulley while it is apart. I've read that a bad clutch on that can cause the compressor to fail.

I had the same problem and I replaced my AC compressor and it solved everything, annoying noise and cooling. Don't bother with the condenser as the flush will get almost all of it plus there isn't and issue with mixing the refrigerant.
There is an easy way to test if the alternator clutch is blown, just place a screwdriver in one of the vents and see if the pulley turns in both directions or if it doesn't move at all. if it does any of those then it needs a replacement.
It should only turn 1 way and lock the other way.
