After washing the car, I parked it nicely and later after 2 hours I started the car put gear on drive and accelerating the car did not move but accelerated in idling, on the dashboard it doesn't reflect when the gear is on P, D or R,. Meaning it doesn't communicate that the gear is now on D which I think is the reason the car doesn't respond even when I accelerate while on D.

We diagnosed using OBDII and it shows code U0101 and P759 which are related to transmission, someone suggested we change gear lever component, we bought new one but problem persist. Can you advice on what else we should do
