Greetings MBWorld, I'm turning one of my W203 C32 twins into a track car. After having a C240 for a first car, the W203 will always be special to me. I haven't seen many people try this so it should be interesting. So far I'm trying to fix and diagnose some engine issues.

are the only codes you are getting is a p0306 random misfire??

Every cylinder misfires when under hard acceleration. Not always the same ones just always random.

Sounds to me like your ignition system needs simple maintenance. This is what I suggest:

1. Put a bottle of Lucas Fuel injector cleaner in gas tank, which will clean your fuel injectors ($5).
2. Replace spark plugs and gap properly ($15). Your plugs are likely to be causing misfire.
3. Clean MAF ($5). Just open air and spray maf cleaner through mesh without removing, but make sure to let it all dry for a couple hours or else you will have a hard start.
4. Replace air filter ($25-50). Optional.

If none of that works let me know!

I've always been a fan of Lucas Fuel Injector Cleaner and it's effective properties. However, it is not MB Approved. As I completely agree with the provided advice from LexBrett2, for peace of mind I'd recommend sticking with a couple treatments of Chevron Techron Fuel System Cleaner. As you can see, they're pretty cheap at Walmart.
