2004 C320 stalls at idle P0400 code

2004 C320 stalls at idle P0400 code
Hi all,
2004 C320 4Matic with 230,000 miles on the clock.
Random stalling at idle
Active code is P0400 - Gas recirculation flow malfunction
Pending codes are P0422 (Bank 1) and P0432 (Bank 2) - main catalyst efficiency below threshold
From reading some threads here, I'm thinking the EGR tube might be clogged or the EGR itself is bad.
But what about those pending codes? Banks 1&2, what does that mean? Are they related to the EGR or something else?
The car runs fine otherwise.
