tech help on my engine belt
i need your highly skilled opinions..... my serpentine belt/fan belt/engine belt broke onto thin strips a week ago with just 8,500miles, and i just installed a new belt 4 days ago,drove it for 60miles,and now, its starting to get stripped again on the sides-the rubber is starting to expose the threads of the belt. i worry that it has got something to do with my harmonic balancer/crankshaft pulley.
is the W203 V6 included in the recall??? mine seems to looks fine, but there must really be some wobbly pulley in my engine thats eating the belt. help!!!!
how do i go about it??? do i remove the pulley and have it tested/checked at a machine shop???
