I have a 2001 C240 with about 32k miles on it. How can I figure out exactly when my warranty will expire? I don't recall the purchase date and would like to know exactly so I can figure out if I want to dump it and get a newer car with warranty or start saving for repairs! :P

 

usually 4yrs or 50,000 miles, whichever comes first... go look in your registration or owner's manual pouch... they usually include some sort of purchase info in there...

 

You can ask the dealer's service dept, they can look it up. Also you check the build date on the door, then you would at least know that it can't be older than that. If you have a loan you can check with the lender.

 

Yes, any dealer can take the VIN and spit out the necessary info; I suspect a quick call to MBUSA would generate the same result.
