BAS/ESP malfunction warning (again)

I had this problem a few weeks ago, and the dealer replaced the some sensor. It happened again and the dealer said to bring it in for sensor replacement again. Anyone else have this problem??

It is the antilock braking and the skid control. The display flashes a red message and tells you "take me in for service". The dealer said car is safe to drive (but I guess not as safe as when it works....)

I'm not knitpicking DrMike I just want your reply to be technically correct.

BAS is Brake Assist. A software program which monitors the speed which with you apply the breaks and then during emergencies compensates for the human tendency to break too late and not hard enough. If you have fast reflexes and slam and release very quickly you can feel the pedal go out from under your break foot as it attempts to break for you.

ABS is of course the antilock braking system.

ESP is electronic stability program. It is in charge of traction control to prevent you rear wheels from spinning under power and also as DrMike pointed out Skid Control. By skillfull application of the brakes it will help you to control understeer / oversteer.
