Talking Tempting to STEAL!!...

well, my dad took our 01 ML430 in for service yesterday and when he got back they gave him a 04 c240 with the new AERO WIPER, YES, the aero wiper...

now, I'm very tempted to "swap" the wipers from my own car. I looked at both wipers and the buttom part of the wiper arm appears to be the same. NOW, how do I dis assemble the part that allows you to lift the wiper up????

ok...don't tell me, cuz I can't figure it out....lol I don't want to get in trouble. Just ranting....lol

how do the new wipers perform against the old anywayz?

Don't steal it. Swap it my friend. It is very flexible and looks more modern than the old one. That will be my next mod. Maybe I should service my car too and swap it. hehe

I think the new wipers do wipe better. I just realized the other day that the new Audis are using the same wipers.

Its pretty easy to uninstall and install. You dont need someone to tell you how to do it, you can figure it out yourself. Dont forget to change the turn signal rod too, the '04s "feel" better.

The turn signal rod is different in that the one-touch operation is better. The distance the lever must travel to enable the one touch operation is slightly shorter - in essence, making it easier to modulate. I am not sure this is worth changing though as once you get used to either it is very much the same.

things to "replace". arm rest, aero wipers, headliner, pilars, hat rack, and front door storage area material.

Unhappy

C'mon... You have enough $$$ to buy the car... stop five-finger upgrading.

And some of you will wonder "why?" when dealers stop offering MB loaners...

To each their own when you affect just yourself, but this kind of activity screws up the dealer and possibly the loaner program for people.

Ok. No more preaching from me.

Do it. For as much as my dealership rips me off, I don't mind returning the favor.

You will never be ahead stealing anything...your karma will cause you the same or greater financial expense with something else that would not have happened if you did not steal. You can never really beat the laws of the universe.

Loaner...

My car is in for ME flash recall and they give me a brand new C240....those wiper are nice. They won't skip and stick to the windshield much better but it seems a bit shorter than the old style...my eye is playing tick on me?

Anyway, I don't really care since we don't rain much here and the wiper on all of my car can last forever till I sold my car.

It's not called stealing, it's called trading, after all you are giving something back.

Before someone tries this, I hope you realize that your "other" car is still at the dealers when trying to pull this off. Would be funny to see someone spend a whole day and then go "oh *****".
