2008 C300 Sport - Rear tires from 245/40R17 to 245/45R17?

2008 C300 Sport - Rear tires from 245/40R17 to 245/45R17?
Happened upon a good deal on some 245/45R17's.
I'm no tire guru, but from what I understand, the 40 and 45 represent the height of the tire - from what I can ascertain, I'm looking at like a 3% increase in height, so I believe they should fit under there.
Curious to know if anyone else has put tires of this size on the rears, and if this would cause me any issues to change from the stock 245/40R17 to 245/45R17.
