Disconnect fog lights
Is there anyway I can disconnect the front fog lights from the main light switch without triggering any error codes. I have seldom or never used them so far. I plan to use them as DRL. Any suggestions/criticisms welcome.

I can't answer your question. I only want to humbly suggest you rethink that idea. Fog lights are designed to throw light directly at other drivers in a way that low beams are not, in order to cut through the fog.
Using them as DRL is most likely illegal, but in my country almost everyone does it if the car allows you to turn on just parking lights and fog lights, but not low beam. I guess the idea is that the car looks "cooler" that way.

Ok, I'll bite...whats DRL?
Love my "fog" lamps, which really are driving lights.
Lights the road directly in front of you,
much better than low beams alone.
Especially with some decent bulbs installed.

They don't know what a real camera is.
They don't have the slightest idea how a carburetor works.
And... They can't drive any car that doesn't have automatic headlights, because they don't know how to lights operate the headlights.
They think that during the daylight, a car's headlights come on at a reduced brightness by magic when the car is running (DRLs - Daytime Running Lights).

Ha, yeah, the crappy lights that stay on all day, and then you forget to turn your
lights on at night, driving around with no tail lights.
Required in Canada, I never use it, though on cloudy days I turn on my headlights.
Me? A Teenager? Ha...nice.
