Any interest in Dallas C-Class get-together?

The C32 crowd had a meeting a couple months ago (which I missed). Just gauging interest in the possibility of a C-Class meeting in the DFW area sometime this Spring. All models welcome, of course. dasMafia, you can even bring your Z3.

So,

1) Which among you live in the Dallas/Ft.Worth area? I know some of you, but want a concise list in this thread from which to make a PM list.
2) Do you have an interest in meeting? Suggestions on format welcome.
3) Geographical preference (North, south, east, west, corridor)?
4) I assume on a weekend (Sat or Sun preference?) 3-4 hours come and go as you please(?)

Does anyone know if the parking lot is generally open at Texas Motor Speedway? (Not this weekend!)

This will get no visibility on the "Events Forum" Hardly anyone goes there... Hopefully I'll get some answers, first.

Count me in!! I'm open for meeting anywhere in the DFW area. I live up North so of course, that would be easier.

Some place to eat would be nice too. Maybe even an amber colored beverage or two (I'll bring my pregnant designated driver for the ride home ).

Just tell me where and when.... plus a little notice so I can give her a good bath.

Oh yeah, I might even wash the car too!

Edit- Probably the only time that I will be unavailable will be the weekend of 4/13-4/14. I'll be in Ft. Lauderdale working on my tan!

LMAO! That's a hoot!

I knew I could count you in. I've also posted an e-mail to the guy who ran the C32 meet earlier this year to request his list, too. We'll see. I'm thinking sometime in mid-late May.

Others?

I've never posted to this forum before although I have read it on and off for about six months now. I noticed momentum building for another get-together, and that MB-BOB suggested he had sent an email to the organizer of the C32 meet.

If that email address was "bigtani" or something like that (from the page about the last C32 gathering on the C32 Life site), that guy was not really the organizer but only a random interested E-class owner. In fact, he never owned a C32 and ended up ditching his E for an M3. (Boo! But he was actually a really cool guy, too bad he didn't go with the AMG.)

The real place to find Metroplex C32 owners is at this link:
http://www.forumco.com/c32amg/forum....tral+US+Region

As you'll see, so far we've been having problems getting momentum up to put together a meet. If you guys are serious about getting together, I'm sure we can get at least 4 C32 owners out there with you, possibly 6 or more! And I'd love to get a look at the other C-class cars... (I still haven't seen a C-coupe up close!)

So feel free to send me an email (keithmjacobs@yahoo.com) or post directly to our regional C32 board and we'll come hang out with y'all!

Keith

BOB, just for you, if I'm anywhere remotely near DFW at the decided upon time, I will bust my *** to be there... however, the only way I'll end up that far from home is in my moms ML320 (wife can't stand the Z3 seats, I can't stand her CR-V seats, so we compromise and steal my mom's benz!)... so you'll have to be nice to me...

good luck guys, make sure someone brings their digital camera and you post some pics of the people and (most importantly) the cars.

I should get my car on 4/6 or 4/8. I'm in Rowlett, and I'd be interested. Count me in.

Cool! If we can get a C320, C240, C32, and a C230K together, that would be great! A bonus would be a C320 Wagon.

Keith, thanks for the information. Yes, I had sent the e-mail to bigtani, so I guess I won't be getting a reply anytime soon. Thanks for the heads-up on that lead... I won't hold my breath.

Indeed, it would be great if the C32 crowd would want to join up on a meeting. Let's see how many other replies we get here, then we'll start to plan something for real.

C230KOMP, I saw your posting the other day and saw you were in Dallas, so indeed, I've already added you to my list.

Any other North Texans out there?

That's cool, das. We'll be nice to you in mom's ML. (I'm pretty sure my C320 can take an ML with the same motor, so there won't be any need to posture over stoplight drags and such.)

I didn't know your wife had a Honda CR-V. My wife wants one of those, too. That's amazing...

the new CR-Vs are pretty nice, we have an older one (2000) and it is SLOOOOOOOOOWWWWWW. the '02s have a lot better pickup from what i hear. the thing is bulletproof and you can (literally) go drift-busting when it snows... oh wait, you're in texas, never mind.

and yes, the C320 will pound the ML in a drag.

I'm in. North Dallas somewhere would be nice for me! Weekend mornings are difficult (commitments) but lunch would work.
