Wheel/Tire Size with 4Matic
If one has the the 4Matic system on the C-Class (or any other model), it is my understanding that one cannot/should not install staggered wheels, all wheels need to be the same size.
Is this correct?
Can any of you with the 4Matic on the C show some pictures with upgraded wheels please.
What size can one install without harming the 4Matic system, what size tire all around in order to make the car look better?

Check your owner manual or online version, our GLC has 4Matic and staggered wheels ex factory, 20” set up on both but different rubber profiles on front and rear.
May be an option in UK ? As each Country set different options and price points, USA and UK get more options than here in Oz for some cars.

For the RWD models the stock sizes have been 205/55R16 and 225/45R17. I would imagine both of these would work on the 4Matic models as well. For the 16" set you'll have to check for brake caliper clearance. I think the W203 came with larger brakes for all models in the later years.
For a staggered setup which would not work on your car, the rears used 245/40R17.
For a AWD setup it would make sense that the front and rears have to be identical in outer diameter. For a staggered setup the rolling diameters would be ever so slightly different.

On AWD/FWD drive vehicles, all wheels/tires should be the same circumference so that each revolution goes the same distance. If not, the driveline will be fighting it's self the whole time, not just in turns.
