Removing the grill? Instructions?

Stopping by Lordco today (auto parts store)
I decided to buy some black opal paint and a clearcoat to finally paint my SIGNAL lenses and ofcourse the dreaded Mercedes Grill to black!!!

I love the look of RENNCPE's car and I think it would look great on my black opal C230k as well.

A few snags though, the signal lenses (ugly orange) turned out really really amazing, matching the expensive MB coat of the car.

HOwever the problem remains in that I can't even remove the grill. Call me an amateur but someone said there are 8 screws.

I can only find 2 small bolts and alot of snap in connectors .

can anyone give me detailed instructions on how to take it off.
Pictures?

BEFORE U PAINT!!!

I just changed the color of my side markers with a special colored flexible film. The color is so close to the original that is hard to tell the diference. I even did the third brake light. light still shines through. I'll be posting pics soon.

What are you guys doing to the signal lenses?

Can you post a pic. I've had the car two weeks now and have not done anything to it. Time to start tinkering!

Hmmmm...well ting i have the 320 and im not sure if we have the same grill structure. If i recall there are about 6-8 screws. It should be very easy to find. Make sure when reinstalling that the hood latch is sticking out through the grill. You dont want to install it and the latch is stuck inside.

Oh i got the pipes from a local dealer here....ES motorsports. They used the oval chrome tips from the s-class. If i had to do it again i would have put dual tips dual exhaust. It woulda looked even better.

call me stupid, but I still can't find the 6-8 screws that everyone mentioned.

Well ofcourse I can find 6-8 screws (bolts) but they don't look related to the grill at all.

Do I also use the snap connectors to remove them? I would try it but if you guys claim 8 screws then where are the other 6 (I can only find 2)

Help guys, I am in need of a black grille

when i took mine out, i think there were only two screws on top and one plastic pin on the bottom. on the sides there are tension snaps. i remember that all of the screws were visible...

just take the screws out, pop the pin out of the bottom, take out the plastic pieces that cover the snaps, and snap the grill out...

be careful when snapping it out... you can pretty much guess what to do...

i used shiny vinyl to make my grill black... it can be silver anytime i want
