I like the tele-aid antenna

My car doesn't have tele-aid, but I like the antenna. Anyone know if you can just buy the antenna and how much?

ANTENNA

The new E class's teleaid antenna is much better, more aero-dynamic looking antenna and it fits the C too. The problem is the get the look you have to shell out $250.
Too bad, it looks cute.

I hear that in some arab countries (where women are not allowed to drive) they still buy expensive cars without an engine to sit in their garages just to show off. Same brainwave.

Not really. Mine has to be RWD and manual. For the price I got mine there were no competitors. Showing has never been my goal, quite the opposite - I have to defend myself when people I know tell me "what? a Mercedes? but you are not a Mercedes person!". They are right - I am not.

Then again. Want to show off - may as well do it in style. Granted, to some this inevitably means thick golden chains around their necks and wrists.

Lexus - out of question, will always bear the "Mercedes wanna-be" label. Although the IS300 is a descent car, have to admit. Infinity G35 and 350Z didn't exist when I bought my coupe, plus I don't like their styling. BMW 330 was a close contender (and I have had 2 beemers in the past), but the Coupe beat it by price and versatility. I like hatchbacks. I really don't have to defend my reasoning before anyone, suffice it to say that showing-off wasn't one of the reasons. If you choose not to believe - it's fine with me. I have lived in countries where MBs are used as taxis, and seen such trims as E180 and S320.

Yup, has to be rear wheel drive. Oh and Vadim, I would prefer the S55 badge to the S600

Hey, S600 looks bigger than S55 to those who don't know the meaning

Also interested in teleaid antenna...

but for a different reason - I may be interested in retrofitting teleaid into the Coupe that we bought, if it is feasible. So if anyone has info I would appreciate it. Is it a two-part antenna that has an inductive coupling? I.e. you stick something to both sides of the rear window, or do you need to drill a hole?

Just for the record, and in the spirit of the thread, I cast my vote to the "don't be ridiculous" school of thought if you want to add the antenna just for looks
