Question How to improve manual shift linkage?

Are there any after market shift kits for improving the feel/throw of the coupe's manual gear changer?

Thanks

No, not yet. And with the lack of manuals with Benzes in general, I wouldn't expect aftermarket companies to rush in either. Bos already tried to get UUC to show some interest, and didn't have much luck.

I'm installing a Renntech shift knob that I just got today tomorrow. It'll sit a little lower than the current stock one, so I'm hoping that'll improve the feel somewhat.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news...

C230 coupe 6sp
Lots of people would like to fix this shifter. Unfortunately, we are stuck with what we have. I am starting to get used to mine, but it still annoys me - especially on the 1st to 2nd shift. I have not found anyone who makes anything for this transmission. B&M makes short throw shifters for just about everything, but not Mercedes. My service rep at the dealer said they don't get complaints from the average secretary who buys a 6sp, but all of the "car guys" complain.

There's nothing wrong with my 6-speed shifter. Personally, I love it. My previous car was a Mazda Miata, so I got very used to toggle-throw shifting... and my C7 C230K is quite comparable. When looking at cars I test drove the WRX, and I can tell you, that's one crappy shifter! Really long throws, weird feel.

Now, if I could just do something about the brake & accellerator C7 pedals so I can actually toe/heel downshift...

You can get the C7 shifter, it's supposed to be shorter. It's possible that a high performance transmission shop could custom machine one for you.

Despite the lack of any recent updates regarding the UUC project, I'm still working quietly behind the scenes. No promises though, and not much has changed. As Tommy said, it's not going to be easy for UUC, or anybody for that matter, if it's even possible at all.
