Window Tint and Door Locks
I know this is well covered but I can't find an answer to basic question. I had my windows tinted and the locks were not working when I picked it up. After a few days they started again but only for a day and that's been it for a few months. The IR at the doors work fine as does the rocker switch.
I most surely have metallic tint but I'm not sure from searching if the metallic film just reduces range or kills the antenna altogether. I've checked the fuse (#4 I think) and it's fine, even replaced to be sure. I pulled enough of the headliner to do a continuity test across either side of the tint on the 6 tape lines and they all toned well.
I'm trying to decide if having the rear film removed and replaced with non-metallic is the fix or something else is amiss.
