CLK 320 Wagon?

The 2nd owner had this C-wagon for 7 years and advertised it online as a C320, but when I got there, the rear nameplate said CLK 320. I told him I never heard of a CLK wagon; he said it was the sportier version of the wagon.
I bought the wagon based on condition, driveability and price, as well as years of service at a local German-only shop. But the rear nameplate really has me stumped.
I searched under the hood, but there is no model number sticker
.
So what exactly do I have? A C320 with a "fake" nameplate?
Someone please help, and thanks in advance!

Could be that something happened to the original badge and he got that one cheap, instead of paying for a new genuine one. Most people can't tell different models apart, let alone know the model range.
Question is why wouldn't he just tell you what happened instead of giving you a pile of dung.
To add to the confusion, while coupe version of W203 is CL203; they are commonly nameplated C230 or C320 in Canada and USA but some were actually nameplated by Mercedes (Canada) CL230 or CL320 even through they're C-class and NOT CL-class! Even though mine is nameplated C230, my registration says CL230
BTW, post VIN or run your VIN through a VIN-decoder.
