2006 C280 hesitations

Hello,
I recently joined the group and I've tried numerous times to find a thread that addresses an issue I've experienced with my vehicle. While exceleranting I have this hesitation almost like a misfire. While it's idling I don't have any droproblems or misfires just a steady idling. I had the fault codes printed up and I get

I've changed the cam shafts sensors, crankshaft sensor, fuel pump, fuel filter, spark plugs, nothing changes. Taken it to different mechanics and they are equally baffled. I'm at wits end trying to figure what is causing the hesitation, it also happens when I'm passing it does it almost like it's stalling, then catches then stalls continually. Please please help or any suggestions you may have to help with this issue.

I'm assuming that you've cleared all the codes after installing those parts.


Disconnect MAF (Mass Air Flow) sensor connector and see if those symptoms change while driving. Try cleaning the MAF with CRC MAF cleaner.

Sorry I should have said I tried both those. Cleaned it, let dry and put it back on no difference. Tried unplugging the MAF no difference.

Are the symptoms any different when switching from C(omfort) to S(tandard)? My 2007 C280, although not as bad as you describe, shows less hesitation in acceleration when in S.

When I drive to work in the morning I'll try and see if there is a difference. It does seem to get worse and none of the fault codes are addressing the issue. I'm at wits end and ready to get rid of it all together. I'm never going to purchase another German vehicle again. I can't seem to find answers anywhere. Just frustrated that nothing is solving my problem. Thanks for replying

The difference in the behavior shows that the fuel and ignition control loops are functional. Next, going from easy to difficult if I wanted to do it myself, would be to check the fuel pressure of the fuel rail at the shrader valve. If fuel pressure is OK, then I would look into the ignition timing. The error codes point to sensors that impact ignition timing. Hopefully you will not have to go through the long list.
