2010 Mercedes GL 450
Coolant temp sensor location
Trying to find out where coolant temp sensor is located on a 2010 mercedes GL 450. Cannot find anything on where it is located and how to replace. Any knowledge would be greatly appreciated.

The Coolant Temp Sensor for the m272 engine is located in the driver side (left side back of engine next to the firewall. If you have a oil pump, it will be in the way and no way you can put your hand behind that area.
Don't even try or you will learn the hard way and get your hand cut up by the firewall heat shield.
You can rest assure that it's there behind and below the oil pump.
