C240 2002 Help - Compatible Aftermarket Stereo
Hello everyone,
I have this beautiful C240 2002 still in a mint condition. I love everything about this car except for its stereo system (aka the cassette player with an almost useless radio). I have tried cassette aux adaptors and Bluetooth cassette adaptors but I was not pleased with the quality of sound. At the moment I use a radio transmitter that seems to work fine most of the time, except when I connect a charging cable to my phone or turn on the rear window heater - than a background noise appears (Electro-Magnetic interference I assume). So I'm looking into a possibility of changing my factory stereo with aftermarket one. I know that's not the easiest thing with C240s because of fiber-optics and stuff. Any advice on this one? I don't have a place/time to do rewiring myself, so has anyone had an experience dealing with places like Best Buy? Is there an aftermarket radio that would work without too much extra work? Would appreciate any comments. Thank you!
