C200 seats into C180

C200 seats into C180
Hi,
I'm looking to upgrade my half leather seats in my c180 to full leather from a c200.
Ive found some I like but they don't have the same electric buttons as mine (mine have 2 buttons on the seat itself and the c200 ones have 3 on the inside of the door card)
will this be compatible or will I need to change the door cards as well? If so would it be a plug and play solution or would I need to get some wiring done?

It should work, but be prepared to do some splicing to get the controls to work. You could also remove your door card and check if there is a plug available for the door-mounted controls. A lot of these cars are pre wired for options that are not always installed.
On my 05 C230 the driver's seat has controls on the door while the passenger seat has controls on the seat itself.

Or so I thought...
Get to install the new leather seats this afternoon, unbolted, went to disconnect the wiring loom only to find that my old seats have more connectors than the leather ones.
The old ones have 2 small yellow, 1 small blue and 1 large black connector
The new ones have 1 small yellow and 1 large black connector
They both have the side mounted electric controls so I cant see any other functionality that wouldnt work but also having said that Im still waiting on my workshop dvd to arrive so I need to reach out here for some assistance
