knocking noise
hi my name is Tony i have a 2005 c200 saloon i have changed both the rear springs, but still have a knocking noise when going over bumpy roads , my daughters are telling me that the noise is comming from the drivers rear side please could someone help thanks T,

Was there a reason you changed the springs?
Was one of the springs actually broken?
If not, throwing parts at the car will probably not solve your problem.
Did you inspect the shocks, in particular the lower bushings when you had the springs removed?
There are many parts, springs among them, that can cause the knocking sounds you are hearing, such as bad shocks, worn bushings and broken suspension components.
If you're not capable of diagnosing the individual components, I'd get the car to a good mechanic or wheel alignment specialist (not necessarily at the MB dealer) and have them road test the car and get it up on a lift and see what's what.
