coiloverss????????????
but seriously if you want a 5 inch drop,(which i don't think is even possible) ride quality isn't a priority, so just cut the springs.
i guess I wouldn't know anything about dropping something to the floor.

OK... for a spring/shock setup a drop of about 2-inches is as far as you can go... most good coil-over setups (for BMW, Audi, MB, or whatever you drive) will give you at least a 2-inch drop and many will be adjsutable down to about a 3.5-inch drop or even a little more. this is great for the track, but sucks for the street...
the reason coilovers are nice is that they are adjsutable. so, i could drive my Z3 all day with a reasonable 1.5-inch drop and go to the auto-x or roadrace on the weekends and dump it to -3 to lower the center of gravity as far as possible...
5-inches won't happen on this car without serious consequesnces... but I would expect 3.5 to be "relatively" simple. I'd contact H&R, they have the best selection for bimmers.

My personal prefrence is spring, i would NEVER get coil overs becasuse then your cambers all always Fuc*ed. and the ride is not that good my spring feel the same as the stock ride.
slamed230 i think it sounds like you dont care abot how your car drives so springs wont do it for not even coil overs. if i was you i would get air bags. thats the best bet so that when when u drive on the street u can make it a good height and when u go to a car show u can have your bumpers touching the floor. and there u go u will finally have a slamed c230
The ride quaulity is much stiffer than stock...Of coures, hehe...the overall ride quality is not bad for me. It is a lot better than my previous car, Audi A4 with H&R race spring and stock shocks...
It adds much more fun and control in normal driving, it makes the car feel more solid...
In KW Vancouver distributor, which is in Langely B.C. They told me it is $2700 cdn$ which is about $1700 USD...the installation cost me around $150 USD plus alignment.....
I got mine from Hong Kong, the price is better, but i have no after-sale support and warrentty, so i suggest to get them in North America distributor which is much more insure...

just dont be too orginal...too original is bad sometimes...i wont hate...just post some pics when your done and let me judge for myself...just dont be bling blingin on 20's or sumptin (oh yeah...slammed on 20's on a C-coupe....i would pay to see that)
I want the kleeman speed sensitive suspension and a good set of sway bars so I can:
1) Do the hutch at 90 instead of 80 comfortably.
2) Try my hand at autox.
3) Get about 1 inch of drop. With 18 inch rims that's the way a car was meant to be.
