Hello,
I have a 2006 C280 4Matic and I have 2 remote key fobs.
Both are able to start the car
Both are able to unlock the trunk
Both are able to lock the car
Only 1 will unlock the car.

I haven't really used this second key fob remote since I've owned the car but I wanted to test it and noticed the problem. I've replaced the batteries and also tried spraying inside the remote with electrical cleaner but the unlock button still does not work.

Is there something I am missing or is this just a problem with the unlock button on this remote?

Your diagnosis is correct---you have a bad key fob!
