Double Din Head Unit for 2001 Mercedes Benz c240 (w203)
Good Day all
I have recently acquired a 2001 Mercedes c240 (w203 shape) pre face lift and I am wanting to fit in a double din head unit. There are a few things that I would like to know before making any decisions.
1) I realise that all Double Dins are the same size (recommendations on which ones to put in will be appreciated), however I know that they do not fit flush with centre console as it is not square in shape (it has rounded edges). Does this mean that I will have to get a face plate adapter that will fit comfortably? any recommendations will be much appreciated
2) If I decide to replace the existing head unit with a double din, what will I need to get to ensure that the steering wheel controls still operate with an aftermarket double din. (Even getting a mercedes replacement will work as long as I can have bluetooth connectivity and USB)
IF you have any ideas I would really like to know as I am not having much luck at the moment.
