So it is finally time for our first A service, after 12500 kms and 1.25 years and I need to know how much oil to buy.
My dealership wants to use Quaker State 5x40 synthetic oil in the car because that is what Mercedes recommends, there words, not mine.
However, I disagree and will be using Mobil 1 0xw-40 tri-synthetic. I found a place to buy it in Canada online, www.mobil1.ca, but...
... I need to know how much to buy. I want to have enough to complete the oil change, but don't want to buy so much as shipping costs go sky high.
I figured that the C240 would take between 5~8 litres. Anyone confirm the actual amount?

See the specifications page of your manual. The C320 takes 8-9 US quarts. I assume the C240 is the same. Might as well order a full case of 12.
You're going to take it to the dealer for them to do the change? I'm assuming its covered in your Canadian service agreement.

I checked the manual, can't find it anywhere in there. You have a page?
Oil is not free in the Canadian service, we have different policies than the US. We always get jipped.
We will probably just order 12L, that way we have more for next time:p

Yea, I'd order by the case. Once you order the second case, you'll have enough for the third change without an additional purchase.
