2000 C200 Common problems
Hi folks. Newbie here, so please excuse me if I'm asking in the wrong place and please feel free to point me to a more appropriate place/thread/FAQ.
I'm considering purchasing a 2000 4 cylinder C200. The price has me suspicious. It's too cheap. It's in line with Hyundais and Toyotas of the same year and mileage. It should be significantly higher for the advertised condition. I have not physically inspected the vehicle at this point. While it'd be nice to actually get a bargain for once, I doubt that it will happen.
Could somebody please point me towards a list of common issues for this model just to help me be aware of things to look for? .
I'm comfortable on the tools and have plenty of experience working on older cars, but I haven't worked on Mercs before, so knowing what to look for could save a load of heartbreak and keep my wallet from suffering terminal cash flow failure.
